Ways To Give
Beth Sholom Village is a 501©(3) not-for-profit organization, registered with the IRS. All charitable gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Gifts can be made via personal check, calling the Village office, or via our website at www.bethsholomvillage.com. Please join our community of supporters by making your gifts via the following opportunities:
Friends of the Village
Participation in this ongoing campaign enables us to “close the gap” between government reimbursements and our actual cost of care. Support from Friends provides the resources to maintain the highest standards of benevolent care for all of our residents, from those in short-term rehab to those who require 24 hour skilled care.
During the year we conduct several events that encourage community participation. They include “Golf’s Longest Day,” where the number of holes played is more important than the score, and our annual Mah Jongg tournament, where skill and passion for this beloved game mix with friendship and fun—all funding the care of the residents of the Village. On a more solemn note, support of our annual Yizkor prayer service, held during Yom Kippur (Judaism’s holiest day) in our Religious Cultural Center, allows us to acknowledge loved ones whose blessed memory may never be forgotten. Conducted primarily at the end of the calendar year, the Holiday Fund receives contributions that honor the service of Village employees, who may not accept tips or gifts directly from residents or their families. Thanks to the Holiday Fund, employees’ service is especially honored during the “giving season.”
This is a meaningful way to honor, acknowledge, or remember one’s family and friends with a contribution celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, or life cycle events. These gifts will be acknowledged with a personal message sent on a handsome card to the person(s) designated by the donor.

Opportunities have been established for supporting major capital needs in Beth Sholom’s physical plant. These gifts are normally fulfilled over a period of time through transfer of a donor’s assets or appreciated securities. We also work regularly with residents, family members and friends of the Village to design deferred giving opportunities, often in conjunction with the Tidewater Jewish Foundation. These gifts are investments made in perpetuity, thus safeguarding Beth Sholom Village for the health and well-being of generations to come.
